Pamela Lastiri is the founder and principal of Pamela Lastiri Interior Design Studio, based in Sausalito. A trained architect with roots in Mexico City, Pamela brings a precise, intentional approach to every project. Her design philosophy is shaped by her heritage, her deep appreciation for art, and her commitment to enduring design.
Pamela’s work spans high-end residential and commercial interiors throughout the Bay Area and Napa Valley, though her reach extends well beyond Northern California. Known for crafting serene, minimalist spaces that retain a quiet vibrancy, her interiors are soulful, atmospheric, and built to last. With an architect’s sense of proportion and flow, she doesn’t simply decorate—she transforms. Every element is deliberate, and every space reflects her rigorous eye and strategic sensibility.
Early in her career, Pamela’s expertise was shaped by formative roles with celebrated architects Howard Backen, Jim Gillam, and Loren Kroeger. Each of these mentorships deepened her understanding of structure, materiality, and spatial nuance. Today, she collaborates with local and international artisans to create bespoke furnishings that anchor her projects in both place and personality.
She lives just over the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County with her husband, two daughters, and a pair of spirited terriers.
